Back in 2013, I designed a quilt for the Spring 2013 issue of Quilt Trends using Birch’s Set Sail collection. It is a perfect twin quilt for a grandmother’s guest room or beach house. Cynthia, the owner of Birch, showed the quilt to her mother, who immediately wanted a second version for her guest room and I was happy to oblige. She also had the brilliant idea of using the Set Sail fabrics to make an American flag wall hanging. I loved the idea too and even wrote a tutorial for it.
